If while operating a motor vehicle on a snowy street the vehicle should become stuck in some combination of snow and slush, then DO depress the accelerator all the way to the floor for as long as the engine can take it. The rapid rotations of the tires will transform the snow and slush you are stuck in into ice, and your vehicle will be stuck there until spring thaw, unless a band of toughs...

So I’ve never been snowed out of anywhere in my life, only in, and having to hang back in PA for fear of having an unparkable car was not sitting well with me.
But I made it, car parked and unloaded. And I gotta say that here in South Brooklyn it is exactly as bad as the impression the Internet gave me.
We will be lulled to sleep tonight by the sound of tires spinning on ice.

I’m in Virginia and it’s all snowy and Winter Wonderlandy and the folks’ house is with wrapping paper and packaging strewn and I take a five minute break from cooking breakfast to see: what’s the news? And THERE IS NO NEWS.

I was driving for work from 5am to 9pm.
4 to 8 I was going from Long Island City to Secaucus, NJ to pick up camera lenses and accessories. It’s a drive that would have taken an hour and a half to go and come back. Rush hour traffic and holiday shoppers made it so much more unbearable.
Just be happy I didn’t kill anybody last night.
